About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from vineyards in Oltrepò Pavese with vines aged between 40 and 50 years.
Grapes
The blend comprises 80% Pinot Nero and 20% Chardonnay.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested during the last week of August.
Ageing
The wine rests for four years in Contratto’s underground cellars at a constant 13 °C. Carved into a limestone and tuff hill at a depth of 32 metres, the cellars maintain natural humidity throughout the year.
