About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes originate in the historical area of Villa de la Croce in Montalcino, from vineyards at 500 m a.s.l.

Grapes

100% Sangiovese Grosso. The grapes are strictly selected and harvested by hand into boxes.

Vinification

Sangiovese Grosso is vinified alone at controlled temperature, with approximately 20 days of maceration.

Ageing

Following fermentation, the wine matures for 30 months in oak barrels of 25 and 32 hL. Bottle refinement lasts at least eight months, developing further complexity and harmony.

Tasting profile

Intense ruby red. The fresh bouquet has pronounced notes of spice and forest berries. The palate is persistent and full-bodied, with substantial structure and soft, noble tannins.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 16°C with roasts, grilled red meat, game or mature cheeses.
