About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The estate’s vineyards are situated on the clay soils of the Sant’Andrea di Barbiano hills in Felino, Emilia-Romagna, approximately 300 metres above sea level and 20 km from Parma. The grapes are grown using biodynamic methods. Marked differences between daytime and nighttime temperatures promote aromatic richness and refreshing acidity.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand and undergo brief skin maceration. The must begins fermentation with native yeasts in stainless-steel tanks without temperature control. Following the Ancestrale method, the wine is bottled midway through fermentation and completes fermentation naturally in the bottle. Bottling takes place in spring according to lunar cycles, without filtration or fining.
Tasting profile
Refined and richly aromatic, with refreshing acidity.
