About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
G.Punto comes from the estate’s highest vineyard, an airy site in Castellina Marittima where wind dries and protects the fruit. The 11-year-old Grenache vines are trained as alberello.
Grapes
100% Grenache.
Vinification
Vinification takes place in terracotta jars, locally termed orci. Extended contact with the skins gradually develops the wine’s deep, layered aromatic character.
Ageing
The wine subsequently matures for 10 months in second-passage barriques.
Technical data
Costa Toscana IGP. Alcohol: 14.5%.
Tasting profile
The bouquet is enveloping, led by red fruit with nuances of licorice and spices.
