About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes come from a 0.50 ha vineyard in La Morra, planted in 2005 at 260 m above sea level. The site faces west and has calcareous-clayey soil. Yield is 80 quintals per hectare, with harvest taking place in the first half of September.

Grapes

Nascetta, an indigenous white variety of the Langhe. Once popular through the end of the nineteenth century, it was subsequently abandoned and rediscovered roughly a decade before the technical sheet was prepared. At that time, only around 10 ha were planted worldwide.

Vinification

The grapes undergo 80–100 hours of cold maceration, followed by pressing and white vinification in stainless-steel tanks. Fermentation lasts approximately 10 days at a controlled temperature of 14–16°C.

Ageing

Maturation takes place on the lees in stainless-steel tanks for approximately 6–9 months.

Technical data

Alcohol: 13.10% vol. Total acidity: 6.00 g/L. Production: 4,500 bottles.

Serving and pairing
