Production zone: La Morra. Bottles produced: 1,000-1,500. Average vine age: vineyard planted in 1948. Soil: clay-sandy marls. Exposure: south and south-east.
Vinification and ageing
Maceration on skins in temperature-controlled rotofermenter for 3-4 days; ageing in 100% new French barriques for 18 months.
Tasting profile
Colour: dark purple red. Nose: very intense red fruit, very fruity and persistent. Palate: warm, soft and intense, with silky velvet tannins, pleasant acidity and flavours from blackberry to cherry.
