About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards lie in the hills of western Sicily at 200–300 m above sea level. Sunny days allow full ripening, while cool nights preserve freshness and bright acidity. The vines are planted at 4,000 vines per hectare in dark soils with a good organic matter content.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness and fermented for 12–15 days at a constant temperature of around 26 °C, with the must pumped over daily.
Ageing
The wine ages for four months in stainless steel tanks, which keeps the fruit flavours fresh and clear and highlights the distinctive character of Merlot.

Elegant and full-bodied, with a lively, juicy taste and bright acidity.
