About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes are grown on the hills of Gibellina at an altitude of 150 m. The vineyards are planted mainly on medium-textured limestone and clay soils with good levels of organic matter and iron.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested at full phenolic ripeness and macerated for 12–15 days at 26°C, with daily pumping over.
Ageing
The wine rests in steel tanks for around four months, followed by a short period in oak barrels before bottling.
