About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from Contrada Pispisia in Marsala, western Sicily, at about 40 m above sea level. The vineyards have a favourable aspect and clay-sandy soils. The fruit ripens under the intense Sicilian sun.

Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in late August. Fermentation uses natural yeasts and is followed by 12 days of maceration. The juice is then gently pressed off the skins.
Ageing
The wine is aged for 1.5 years in stainless steel tanks, with no ageing in barriques.
Tasting profile
Elegant, reminiscent of the fine reds of French châteaux. Without barrique ageing it stays pure, warm, generous and bold, with a distinctive character. It is robust and confident, international and refined yet unmistakably Sicilian.
