About this wine

Vinification

Made from a specially prepared white-wine base, herbal infusions, alcohol and sugar. Alpine and rare exotic herbs are steeped in alcohol before being added to the wine base. The exact blend is secret, and the recipe has remained unchanged since its creation.

Label / history

The Gancia wine house was founded in 1850 by Carlo Gancia, creator of Italy’s first white vermouth. In 1870, the house became exclusive supplier to the royal court of the Kingdom of Italy and gained the right to use the monarchy’s coat of arms. It was appointed a Vatican supplier in 1924, with the right to use the Pope’s coat of arms, and an official supplier to the Swedish royal court in 1951.
