The wine rests in the cellars for 18 months.
Tasting profile
Bright and pale pink, with a generous mousse. The style is balanced and elegant.
Label / history
Carlo Gancia founded the wine house in 1850 after studying Champagne production methods in Reims. His experimentation in Piedmont with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay culminated in a Champagne-method Italian sparkling wine in 1865. Gancia was appointed exclusive supplier to the Italian royal court in 1870, received the privilege of supplying wine to the Vatican in 1924, and became an official supplier to the Swedish Royal Court in 1951. The Italian monarchy’s and Pope’s coats of arms could consequently be displayed on its bottles.
