About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Nebbiolo comes from vineyards in Sarmassa, Madonna di Como and Simio. The soils are limestone and clay, at 250–550 metres above sea level. The vines are between 10 and 50 years old.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand from the second half of September to the first half of October. The wine macerates on the skins for 20–25 days.
Ageing
The wine spends 6–8 months in oak barrels of 500–600 litres and 25 hl. After bottling it rests a further 6 months in the winery's cellars.
