About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow in the commune of La Morra, on west-facing hills with clay-limestone soils.
Vinification
The wine undergoes 5–7 days of maceration at 25–30 °C in a rotary fermenter. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation take place in stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
It matures in steel vats for 8–10 months.
Vintage notes
In 2019, Piedmont experienced a long winter and late spring. High summer temperatures and good groundwater reserves encouraged rapid vegetative growth. A long, mild autumn allowed the grapes to ripen fully, while they remained healthy throughout the growing cycle.
