About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from 60-year-old vines on a 0.7 ha plot with sandy, granitic and clay soils. They are harvested by hand and sorted in the vineyard.
Vinification
The grapes macerate on their skins for five days. The must ferments with natural yeasts in 1,000-litre tanks and undergoes malolactic fermentation. The wine is bottled without clarification or filtration.
Ageing
The wine matures for six months in old 225-litre oak barrels.
Tasting profile
Rich fruity and floral aromas lead to a fresh, zesty and well-structured palate.
Label / history
The name “Modestu” means “modest.”
