About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from a 0.7 ha plot in the Nuoro area of Sardinia. The vines are 60 years old and grow in sandy soils containing granite and clay.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand, sorted in the vineyard and destemmed. Fermentation with native yeasts takes place in open-top vats for 20–30 days. The wine is bottled without fining or filtration.
Ageing
The wine ages for one year in 1,500- and 2,000-litre Slavonian oak botti.
Label / history
In the local dialect, “Barrosu” describes someone who is bold or arrogant.
