About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

PATRICIA combines fruit from three Pinot Noir sites at 380–530 metres. In Oltradige, the soils consist of morainic deposits over volcanic porphyry. On the eastern hillsides of Bassa Atesina, the west-facing vineyards have loamy, calcareous soils.

Grapes

100% Pinot Noir.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested by hand and placed in small containers to protect them from excessive pressure. After destemming, gravity transfers the must into stainless-steel tanks, where alcoholic fermentation lasts 18–20 days. Malolactic fermentation follows.

Ageing

The wine matures for 12 months in large 50-hl oak barrels, followed by another six months in bottle.

Technical data

Vintage 2024. Alto Adige DOC. Yield: 56 hl/ha. Alcohol: 13.5% vol. Total acidity: 5.70 g/L. Residual sugar: 1.1 g/L. Ageing potential: 8 years. Available in 0.375, 0.75, 1.5, 3 and 5-litre bottles.

Tasting profile

Ruby red. Intense aromas of sweet cherry, sour cherry and raspberry lead to a palate shaped by lively acidity, a velvety structure and a juicy finish. Refined spice and silky tannins add further definition.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 14–16 °C. Its velvety structure suits Italian first courses and a broad range of meat dishes.
