About this wine
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in early September and the berries are selected before macerating for two weeks. The must is then fermented in stainless-steel vats.
Ageing
The wine ages on its lees for seven months in stainless-steel vats, followed by several months in bottle in the winery’s cellar before release.
Tasting profile
Ruby in colour, with a fruity, spicy profile and aromas of Mediterranean maquis.
Serving and pairing
Recommended with Southern European meat dishes, including Gibraltar-style rolitos, Italian saltimbocca and Maltese fenkata, as well as flavourful hard cheeses.
Label / history
The Meridiano 12 range takes its name from vineyards crossed by the 12th meridian.
