About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
Grattamacco’s vineyards occupy 27 hectares in a naturally sheltered setting protected from strong sea winds. Three principal soil environments are identified across the estate: silt and red sand in the Alberello vineyard, calcareous-marly flysch in the central-western sector, and sandy calcareous-marly formations in the eastern sector. The brochure does not assign a particular one of these sectors specifically to the Vermentino.
