About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes come from three vineyards in distinct parts of Montalcino.

Grapes

The wine is made from Sangiovese Grosso (Brunello).

Vinification

The grapes are harvested by hand into small crates in the first week of October. Fruit from each vineyard is vinified separately, then the resulting wines are blended in proportions selected for each release.

Ageing

The wine matures in oak barrels for at least 12 months. To preserve balance, the wine from one vineyard is kept out of oak.

Tasting profile

Refined in character.

Label / history

Each release combines wine from several harvests, so no vintage is printed on the label. A number in the bottom-right corner of the label identifies its composition.
