About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes are selected from vineyards in the commune of Controguerra at an altitude of 270 m. Northern Abruzzo lies between the Adriatic Sea and the Apennines. The winery’s vineyards have soils of clay, sand and siliceous rock.
Vinification
Chardonnay is usually harvested in late August or early September; the other grapes are picked at the end of September. After sorting, the fruit is destemmed and gently pressed. The must ferments in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 18–20 °C.
Ageing
The wine rests briefly in stainless steel.
