About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards occupy the Piccole Dolomiti above the historic trading town of Ala, in southern Trentino near the Veneto border. They extend across southwest-facing slopes at 600–860 metres, with gradients of up to 40%. Light, loose soils composed of dolomitic limestone gravel contribute mineral salinity, freshness and elegance.
Grapes
The wine page identifies Chardonnay, while the technical sheet specifies Chardonnay and Pinot Nero. Trento DOC.
Vinification
Traditional fermentation in bottle, followed by 60 months on the fine lees.
Tasting profile
An elegant, persistent perlage accompanies aromas of white-fleshed fruit, citrus and fresh bread. The profile is marked by mineral salinity, freshness and elegance.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 6–8 °C. Suitable as an aperitif or with fish dishes, crustaceans and white meat.
