About this wine

Grapes

A blend of Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested by hand in late September. Selection focuses on the finest bunches with the best exposure to sunlight. After destemming and gentle crushing, fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks at 22–24°C. Maceration lasts 10 days, with délestage and periodic daily pump-overs.

Ageing

The wine matures for 6 months in stainless steel, 2 months in large oak casks and a further 3 months in bottle.

Technical data

Valpolicella Superiore DOC. Alcohol: 13.5% vol. Available format: 0.75 L.

Tasting profile

Deep, intense ruby red. The nose combines wild strawberries, redcurrants and sweet spices. The palate is velvety and harmonious, full and rounded, while retaining a lively edge.

Serving and pairing

Pair with pasta dressed in elaborate sauces, grilled red meat or oily fish.
