About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow in one of Montalcino’s highest vineyards, at more than 600 metres above sea level. The wine is produced organically.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness and sorted at the winery, where the best bunches are selected. Fermentation and maceration take place in concrete vats for 10 days, with regular manual pumping over. The juice is then gently pressed from the skins.
Ageing
The wine ages for nine months in a new 500-litre French oak barrel. It is bottled without filtration or fining and with a minimal addition of sulphur.
