About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The organically grown fruit comes from one of Montalcino’s highest vineyards, at more than 600 m above sea level.
Vinification
Harvest generally takes place in the second half of October. The bunches are sorted on a sorting table, with only the best selected. Fermentation and maceration take place in concrete vats for 25–90 days, with regular manual pump-overs. The wine is then gently pressed off the skins.
Ageing
The wine matures for 12 months in large Slavonian oak casks. It is bottled without filtration or fining.
