About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from Cirò, Cirò Marina, Crucoli and Melissa in Calabria. Vineyards lie on clay and limestone soils and are trained as alberello and spurred cordon at 5,000 vines per hectare. Yields are 90 quintals of grapes and 65 hectolitres of wine per hectare. Separate vinifications by subzone form part of the estate’s approach to Cirò.
Grapes
100% Gaglioppo.
Vinification
Harvest extends from late September into early October. The grapes are gently pressed and vinified in stainless steel.
Ageing
Maturation takes place in stainless steel, followed by a few months in bottle before release.
Tasting profile
A fresh, versatile rosé with a vibrant character and aromatic fragrance.
Serving and pairing
The wine can be kept for up to three years, though youthful drinking is recommended to preserve its aromatic fragrance.
