Ageing
The wine matures for 11 months in the same Allier oak barrels at a constant temperature, followed by six months in bottle.
Tasting profile

Label / history
The wine takes its name from the vineyard where its grapes are grown.
Azienda Agricola Livon was founded by the Livon family in the early 1960s, when Dorino Livon purchased his first vineyards in the hills of Collio. His sons Valneo and Tonino joined him in the mid-1980s. The family reorganized its vineyards and reduced production to improve fruit quality, introducing short pruning, organic methods, high-density planting, native plants and low yields. It also built three large cellars to support its winemaking.
Between 1992 and 1997, the family acquired Villa Chiopris and Tenuta Roncalto in Friuli and Borgo Salcetino in the Chianti Classico area of Tuscany. It purchased Fattoria Col santo in the Montefalco area in 2001. Livon now has more than 200 hectares of vineyards and produces five brands classified as classic, Cru and Grand Cru wines.
