About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from vineyards in the hills of Collio, farmed using organic methods. The loose, rocky soils contain limestone and clay and are low in organic matter, contributing a rich mineral character.
Grapes
Selected Friulano and Ribolla Gialla grapes are used.
Vinification
The grapes were hand-picked on 6 September 2014. Vinification took place in Hungarian oak barrels.
Ageing
The wine remained in the same Hungarian oak barrels for eight months before bottling.
Tasting profile
Elegant, with a rich mineral character.
Label / history
Released in limited quantities to commemorate Livon’s 50th anniversary. Production comprised 3,059 standard bottles and 242 magnums.
