About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from the company's own vineyards in Umbria, along the Tiber River, on clay and sandy soils. A weather monitoring system installed in the vineyards helps prevent disease and significantly reduces the amount of chemicals used.
Grapes
Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Grechetto and other white grape varieties.
Vinification
Harvest takes place in September. The grapes are gently pressed, followed by a short cryomaceration. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at 14 °C. The wine is ready to drink as early as November, about 2 months after harvest.
Ageing
A short time in steel tanks and in bottle.
Tasting profile
Fresh, easy-drinking, young, simple and pleasant, with a refreshing taste.
Serving and pairing
Suited to any time of year, especially summer.
Label / history
The label shows a compass rose taken from an old captain's logbook. The nautical theme and the refreshing taste evoke a sea breeze, a brezza.
