About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Sangiovese grows on mixed soils in Umbria, near the banks of the Tiber River.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in September, at optimal ripeness. After a short maceration the juice is separated from the skins. It ferments in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of around 15 °C.
Ageing
The wine spends 2 months on the fine lees before bottling, then rests for a further month in the winery's cellars.
Tasting profile
The wine is young and refreshing in taste.
Label / history
The label carries a compass design taken from an old captain's logbook. With the wine's refreshing taste, the nautical theme suggests a fresh sea breeze, which is the meaning of the name Brezza.
