About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow on clay and sandy soils and are harvested by hand, which helps preserve their natural freshness and aroma.
Vinification
The grapes are gently pressed, and the must is fermented at low temperatures in stainless steel tanks. This keeps the aromas clean and the palate light.
Ageing
The wine ages in steel for a relatively short time, 6 months.
Tasting profile
Fresh, easy-drinking and clear-cut in style, with clean aromas and a light palate. The 2023 vintage keeps to this character, with freshness, harmony and a delicate balance between fruit and minerality.
Label / history
The name "Cadetto" presents the wine as the younger, cadet brother of "Torre di Giano". The label shows a detail from an old compass taken from an antique captain's logbook.
