About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

Moscato Rosa is grown in hillside vineyards in the village of Capriva del Friuli, within the Collio DOC area. The Eocene terrain consists of alternating sandstone and loam rock containing limestone and clay, formed from deposits that were once part of the ocean floor. The impermeable soil sheds rainwater across its surface, limiting erosion and preventing water from stagnating. The vines are Guyot trained, and harvesting is performed by hand.

Grapes

Moscato Rosa.

Vinification

After destemming, the must and pulp macerate in large stainless-steel vats. The length of skin contact varies with the vintage.

Ageing

The wine matures for approximately eight months in stainless-steel vats, followed by twelve months of cellar ageing after bottling.

Technical data

IGT Tre Venezie. Alcohol is approximately 15%. Bottled in a 0.50 l format.

Tasting profile

Deep pink with bright highlights. The bouquet is delicate, elegant and complex, marked by sweet scents of roses, strawberry and raspberry syrup. The palate is rich and full-bodied, leading to a lingering finish.

Serving and pairing

Conceived as a meditation wine.
