About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Malvasia grows on old vines, 60 years of age.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand and pressed as whole bunches at the winery. After 8–12 hours the must is racked for fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine spends a short time on the fine lees in stainless steel vats.
Tasting profile
Elegant.
Label / history
The label once showed characters from the winery's chicken coop. The coop no longer exists: it had to be removed because the birds sometimes fell prey to martens or local petty thieves. Its last goose lived for around 15 years and left the winery many years ago. The label now shows a Siamese cat named Molecola.
