About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes are grown in a 14 ha vineyard in San Martino sulla Marrucina, on east-facing slopes at 400 m above sea level. The soils are predominantly clay and limestone.
Vinification
Ripe grapes are harvested in late October and fermented in stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine matures for 24 months in new oak barriques, followed by three years in bottle.
Label / history
Gianni Masciarelli began producing the wine in 1984.
