About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from the company’s vineyards in Puglia.
Grapes
The wine is made exclusively from Nero di Troia, a variety more commonly blended with other southern Italian grapes.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness and gently crushed at the winery. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks and is halted by rapidly reducing the temperature, preserving some residual sugar.
Ageing
The wine spends five months in barrels and a further three months in bottle.
Serving and pairing
Decant before serving.
Label / history
Wines in the “40” (“Quaranta”) range are bottled for Tagaro by Maredivino SRL, a third-party provider of stabilization, clarification, purification, filtration and bottling services.
