About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The organically farmed fruit comes from the producer’s vineyards in Alba, northwestern Italy. Vineyard management is intended to maintain a natural balance among the soil, climate and vines.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in late September. Fermentation proceeds under strictly controlled temperatures, with frequent pumping over to extract colour and tannins fully. Only indigenous yeasts present on the grape skins are used. The wine is generally bottled without filtration.
Ageing
The wine rests on fine lees in stainless-steel tanks for at least six months, followed by approximately four months in bottle.
