About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The organically managed vineyards lie in the hills of the Langhe, east of the Tanaro River and south of Alba, in the province of Cuneo, Piedmont. Vineyard management is intended to maintain the balance among the soil, climate and vines.
Vinification
The grapes are hand-harvested in late September and early October, during the cool morning hours to limit oxidation. A brief cold maceration is followed by fermentation at a controlled low temperature, using only the natural yeasts present on the grape skins.
Ageing
The wine rests on its fine lees for around four months in stainless-steel tanks.
