About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The vineyards lie on gently rolling hills in the Piacenza hills of western Emilia-Romagna, near Lombardy and Piedmont, at an altitude of 400 metres. The soils are clay-rich with a high mineral content, and yields are limited to 13,000 kg per hectare.

Tasting profile

A lively sparkling wine.

Label / history

Castelli del Duca means “The Duke’s Castles.” The name recalls the Farnese dukes, who ruled this land from the 16th to the 18th century and left castles, monuments and villages across the hills. Production amounts to 100,000 bottles per year.
