The wine ages for 18 months in large German and Austrian oak casks.

Label / history
“Retromarcia” means “reverse” or “turn back.” The name reflects Monte Bernardi’s return to Tuscany’s native Sangiovese as varieties such as Cabernet and Merlot have become increasingly common in the region.
