About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The fruit comes from the “Rovera” vineyard on steep Alpine slopes. The soils impart a mineral, mountain character, and the vines are farmed according to organic principles.

Vinification

Depending on the vintage, up to 25% whole bunches are used, reflecting the comparatively delicate character of the local Nebbiolo. Fermentation starts spontaneously to express the wine’s sense of place.

Ageing

The wine matures for 24 months, including at least 12 months in barrels, in accordance with the appellation’s requirements.

Tasting profile

Elegant, delicate and refined, with a mineral, mountain character. It is more delicate and refined than Nebbiolo from the Langhe.

Label / history

The label depicts the writer Mario Soldati, a great admirer of the wines of the Carema region. Gian Marco notes that Soldati resembles his grandfather.
