About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vines are 30 years old and grow at 200–220 m above sea level on south- and southeast-facing hills with clay-limestone soils. The grapes are selected in the vineyard.
Grapes
Cannonau and Monica are both traditional Sardinian varieties. Each is harvested at a different time, usually early in the morning to preserve as much freshness as possible.
Vinification
Vinification begins with a short period of skin contact. Gentle pressing follows, separating the juice from the skins and pulp. The must is fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature.
Ageing
Before release the wine spends at least 1 month in bottle in the winery's cellars.
Tasting profile
Bright and juicy, with intense berry notes.
