About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from the Campo di Pietra vineyards in the Piave River basin, southeast of Treviso. The potassium-rich “Caranto” soil consists of 30–35% clay, 20–25% silt and 45–50% sand. The vines average 15 years of age.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in small crates from the beginning to the end of September. After gentle pressing, the juice is separated from the skins and pulp. Fermentation lasts 15 days at a controlled temperature of 15–17 °C.
Ageing
The wine matures for six months in stainless-steel tanks, with regular lees stirring.
Tasting profile
Elegant and fresh.
