About this wine
Grapes
The Sangiovese is Sangiovese Grosso, carefully selected and tended closely by the winery team throughout the year.
Vinification
The grapes are selected by hand and then gently destemmed. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled tanks at 28 °C, with 32 days of skin contact.
Ageing
The wine is aged for 40 months in 1,500-litre Slavonian oak barrels, which add depth and complexity.
Tasting profile
Refined and distinctive, with a full, smooth structure.
Label / history
Patrizia Cencioni founded the winery in 1989, at the age of 20, with only the support of her uncle Ofelio. The wine carries his name as a tribute to him. About 3,000 bottles are produced each year.
