About this wine
Vinification
An experimental version of Boggina, also known as Boggina A, vinified in 300- and 500-litre terracotta amphorae. No sulfites are added during vinification. The must macerates on the skins for two weeks in open vessels; the amphorae are then sealed and skin contact continues. Extended maceration helps protect the wine without added sulfites. The amphorae provide micro-oxygenation comparable to barriques without imparting their characteristic aromas.
Ageing
Aged for 12 months in clay jars.
Label / history
The first vintage was released in 2011, with 600 bottles produced.
