About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The fruit comes from a single vineyard at the top of the Montosoli hill in Montalcino. The vines are more than 40 years old.

Grapes

The blend is predominantly Sangiovese, with small quantities of local varieties including Colorino, Ciliegiolo and Canaiolo, among others.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested by hand in the first week of October. The must undergoes 20 days of maceration at 30–33 °C, with frequent pump-overs and punch-downs.

Ageing

The wine matures for 24 months in French oak tonneaux.

Tasting profile

Rich, elegant and aromatic.
