About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Gewürztraminer grows in volcanic soil containing sand, clay and quartzite slate. The vineyard is farmed biodynamically, and the vines average 22 years of age.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand and fermented as whole bunches. Spontaneous fermentation takes place in stainless-steel vats, with five days of skin contact. The wine is bottled without fining or filtration.
Ageing
The wine rests on its fine lees in chestnut tonneaux until the end of February, then matures in concrete vessels until August.
