Vineyard and terroir
The grapes are grown in Emilia. Most of the Emilia wine region lies on the plains of the Po River valley, but some of the area's best vineyards are in the foothills of the Apennines, near the border with Tuscany. Of the cooperative's vineyards, 80% are on mountain slopes.
Grapes
Trebbiano gives freshness, gentle acidity and a clean fruity structure. Spergola adds roundness, softness and delicate floral notes.

Traditional vinification, designed to preserve the grapes' natural freshness and aroma.

Label / history
Cantina Puianello was founded in 1938 by five winemaking families who joined forces to make classic wines from Emilia-Romagna. New members joined the cooperative over time, and its vineyards grew to 300 ha. In 2005, after merging with Coviolo, it had 398 members and 436 hectares of vineyards. In 2012 the cooperative carried out a major renovation of the winery and upgraded its equipment.
