About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow in Salento on mineral-rich red soils over limestone subsoils. The Primitivo vines are 60–70 years old, while the Negroamaro plantings are 12–20 years old. Average yields are 80–90 quintals per hectare.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand during the first ten days of September at optimal ripeness, then fermented in steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine is aged in steel tanks.
