About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The estate’s 12 hectares of vineyards lie at Oslavia in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, near the Slovenian border. The soils are clay with fragments of rock. The low-growing vines are planted at densities of 6,500–10,000 vines per hectare. Vineyard work is organic, without chemical fertilisers or pesticides, and follows a low-intervention approach.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand at full ripeness. They ferment in oak barrels for eight days without temperature control, followed by malolactic fermentation. No sulphur is added, and the wine is neither filtered nor clarified.
Ageing
The wine ages in oak barrels for 18 months.
