About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

Dolcetto planted in 1980 grows in two Annunziata parcels covering a total of 0.7 ha. The east-facing parcel lies at 260 m above sea level, while the west-facing parcel is at 230 m. The soil is calcareous clay, and the yield is 8.0 tonnes of grapes per hectare. Harvest takes place in mid-September.

Vinification

The grapes spend about six days in horizontal roto-fermenters in contact with the skins. Alcoholic fermentation is then completed in stainless-steel tanks over approximately 10–15 days. Malolactic fermentation also takes place in steel.

Ageing

The wine matures in stainless steel for 10 months. It is bottled in July and released in September of the year following the harvest.
