About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Malvasia grows in vineyards in the Isonzo River valley. The soils are warm, dry gravel, and the vineyards lie relatively close to the sea; these conditions suit the variety.
Vinification
After harvest the grapes are destemmed and cold-macerated for 12–18 hours. Fermentation uses selected yeasts in stainless steel tanks at a carefully controlled 19 °C. Malolactic fermentation is prevented.
Ageing
The wine rests on its fine lees in steel tanks until bottling.
Tasting profile
Inviting and elegant, with a lasting flavour. A distinctive saline acidity makes the wine easy to recognise.
